Mount Hood, Oregon Timberline Lodge is a National Historic Landmark and was completed in 1937. The furnishings in the building have been labeled as "Cascadian" in style. In 1998 the Friends of Timberline and the United States Forest Service partnered with GKA Lighting, Inc. to create new fixtures for the East Wing that would blend in with the "Cascadian" style. The upper image is of the large chandelier in the Raven's Nest. The fixture is made of steel and the light source is dimmable compact fluorescent lamps. The lower image is of the 13 foot long fluorescent troughs located in the conference rooms below the Raven's Nest.
